THIS WEEK AT THE LOCKS

Good day again peeps and that's another week gone. Still very busy with boats and still keeping busy with site maintenance. Once again volley Vinnie has been out with the mower, volley Jane has been planting loads of flowers and yours truly has assembled our new Herb garden containers.

The idea is to plant them up with Herbs, or as I call them erbs, for boaters and towpath users to help themselves to fresh produce. All we've got to do now is fill them with soil and plant them up. If anyone know's of a free supply of topsoil around the Hillmorton area we would be very grateful.

And now a cautionary tale. A party of Dutch visitors passed through this week and they were telling us a very strange tale. Apparently the previous week they had been in America and prior to leaving had changed some of their dollars into good old English dosh. On attempting to spend some money here they found out that they had been given OLD ten pound notes. Fortunately these were exchanged to new ten pound notes with the help of Lesley from the Canal Chef.

Lost and Found this week is a couple of fenders and a toilet cassette (hopefully empty). Anyone lost these items can claim them from the lock keeper at the bottom lock.

That's about it for this week peeps, keep them boats a coming and we'll see you next week.
